James "J.W." Threatt, 40, died Tuesday, July 26th at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16th at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW, with Reverend Rufus Johnson presiding. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be an hour prior to services Tuesday. J.W. was born March 6, 1971 in Memphis, Tennessee the son of Curtis and Rosalee McGee Threatt. He is survived by a brother, Joey Myles; sisters Mearling (David) Penland and Betty Ann McGee; and mom Ruby Myles; his children Dominque, Lavell, Curtis, James, Riley James, Daniel, Isiah; as well as host of nieces and nephews. J.W. was preceded in death by his brother and his dad. Memorials may be directed to the Myles family.
