James A. Randall, 65 of Solon, died Sunday, July 6, 2008, at the Dennis
and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a lengthy
illness. Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at Brosh
Chapel in Solon with Rev. Doug Van Der Pol presiding. Visitation will be
from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Brosh Chapel in Solon.  Burial will follow
in Oakland Cemetery.

James was born July 3, 1943 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Arnold and Blanche
Siver Randall.  He worked for many years as a barber in the Solon and Ely
area, as well as a ticket agent for Ozark Airlines.

James is survived by his mother Blanche Randall of Solon; a daughter Joni
(Doug) Van Der Pol of Ledyard; sons Brian (Beth) Randall of Palmer,
Alaska, Tom (Ann) Randall of Marion, Terry Randall and Tony (Amy Graham)
Randall all of Cedar Rapids; five grandchildren, a brother Jerry (Judi)
Randall of West Des Moines, and the mother of his children Joann Malley of
Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his father, a brother Larry and a sister Carol
both in infancy.

Memorials may be directed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of
Mercy.
