Jacqueline M. Gale, 62, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, June 27, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital following a long illness. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on July 16, 2022 at Lake Macbride Main Lodge from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids is caring for the family.

Jacqueline Marie Curl was born July 1, 1959, in Iowa City, the daughter of Charles Raymond and Ettajane Lillian (Dickenson) Curl. She worked at Memories in Iowa City for many years, she also worked with animals at different shelters. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, going on breakfast dates and long road trips with her siblings. She will be remembered as a free spirit and a straight shooter.

Survivors include her three children Chris Mulllis of Cedar Rapids, Cheyenne Gale (Nicolas) of Amana, and Caleb Gale of Cedar Rapids; 7 grandchildren AJ, Charlie, Caius, Jaxson, Jaecilyn, Everleigh and Henrik; brother Charles Curl of Iowa CIty; sister Norma (Randy) Rood of West Branch; life long best friend Janet Snyder of Iowa City; and her dog Loki. She also had many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by a daughter Jennifer, life partner Dean York, brothers Bill and Mike Curl; and her parents Charles and Ettajayne.
