Iva Novak, 87, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, January 17, 2019 at the Hiawatha Care Center. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre located at 2121 Bowling Street SW in Cedar Rapids. Burial will take place following in Czech National Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Brosh Chapel.

Iva was born June 27, 1931 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of George and Elsie Riedel. She worked at Kmart West for many years.  She enjoyed bingo casinos fishing and mushroom hunting.

Iva is survived by her children Gary (Susan) Novak, Diana Beck, Allan (Sheri) Novak and Joe (Angela) Novak; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Iva was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Leo and granddaughter Andrea-Novak Rathje.

Memorials may be directed to the family in lieu of flowers.
