Helen Kacere Wehby, 92, of Cedar Rapids , died Tuesday, November 9 at Atrium Village Care Center in Hills. Funeral Service will be 9 a.m.

Saturday, November 13 at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church, with burial to follow in St. George Orthodox Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church where there will be a 7 p.m. Trisagion Service. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangments.

Helen was born on June 12, 1918 in Cedar Rapids , the daughter of Charles and Lillian (Alberts) Kacere. She married George Wehby on June 23, 1940 in Cedar Rapids . Helen and George owned and operated Wehby's Food Market for many years until George's death in 1967. She enjoyed playing cards and board games as well as cooking family favorites. Helen enjoyed the time spent with her family especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Helen is survived by her daughters Susan (Roger) Sherrard of Atlanta, Georgia, Carol Wehby of Iowa City, and Judith (Gary) Reinhart of Miami, Florida; five grandchildren Lori (Wayne) Elmore of Houston, Texas, Lisa (Trent) Wogon of Atlanta, Georgia, Lynne (John) Vaught of Darien, Connecticut, Matthew Reinhart of New York, New York, and Erin (David) Aynes of Atlanta, Georgia; seven great-grandchildren Olivia, Charlie, William, Jackson, Jordan, Jillian and Lillian; a brother George (Mary Jean) Kacere of Des Moines; a sister Maxine Nemer of Cedar Rapids, and a sister in law Elizabeth Kacere of Cedar Rapids.

Helen is preceded in death by her parents, her husband George, her sisters Fannie Haddy and Delia Laham and brothers Abe, Robert and John Kacere.

Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice and or to St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church.
