Helen Frances Pisarik, 95 of Ely, died Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, July 22, 2010 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids , located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Private services will be held at Roger's Grove Cemetery . Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is handling arrangements.

Helen was born October 15, 1914 in Ely the daughter of Frank and Frances Jandl Nemecek. She married Rudolph Pisarik Jr. on November 28, 1934. They farmed in the Ely area for many years. Rudy died on June 29, 1991. The past six and half years she resided at Evergreen Estates II in Cedar Rapids .

Helen is survived by her son Ray and wife Judy; two granddaughters and five great-grandchildren.

Ray and Judy would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Mercy Medical Center and the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Their care and support was excellent and we will be eternally grateful.

In lieu of flowers Ray and Judy would appreciate memorials to be given to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Thank you.
