Helen Loraine Hostak, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Evergreen Estates.  Celebration of Life services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Inurnment will be in Czech National Cemetery.

Helen was born March 7, 1929, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Fred and Edna Getlin.  She was united in marriage to Joseph "Pep" Hostak on October 26, 1950 at All Saints Catholic Church.  Helen worked in her earlier years at Merchants National Bank and Wilder Grain.  The time spent with family was very important, as well as her faith.  She was a very gentle and caring soul and will be greatly missed.

Helen is survived by her many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph "Pep", her siblings Don Getlin, Audrey Dickson, and Dorothy Hodge.

Memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church in her name.
