Helen Ruth Kadlec Barta, 88, passed away on September 15, 2024.  The youngest of nine-married 59 years and had 6 kids by the age of 31.  Please sit, "do you want a cup of coffee".  Mom was always a good listener, she may have had to clear the table a bit, but there was always room for you.  Her favorite spices, salt and pepper – We think that contributed to us being the cooks we are, always throwing in a new spice and never leery of trying in a new recipe.

She raised us to be kind, considerate and "Always let your conscience be your guide", her favorite saying.  We are who we are today, because of her, she will be dearly missed, her sarcasm, her sense of humor was one of a kind and we all inherited a bit of both.  So please sit have that cup of coffee and think of Mom once again.

She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer and her brothers and sisters.

Helen is survived by five daughters Carol Watkinson, Marlene (Dean) Montour; Denise (Denny) Kane, Judy (Tim) Niner and Sherry (James) Garnant; one son Ken (Cindy) Barta; fourteen grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

There will be no visitation or funeral service as per her request.
