Harold Bruce, 79, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on February 14, 2025 with his Valentine Lin of 63 years by his side. Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, February 20, 2025 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW (casual attire please). Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the chapel. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery near Covington.

Harold L. was born on April 7, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Harold Austin and Jennie (Lane) Bruce. He married Linda M. Bemer on July 24, 1965 in Cedar Rapids. He worked at E. Cohn & Sons for many years. Harold enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and bowling. Above all he loved spending time with his family and those who knew and loved him.

Harold is survived by his loving wife Linda; children Mary (Rick) Shramek, Harold Lee (Tracy) Bruce, Beverly James, Jerry (Kay) Bruce and Jennie (Brian) Fritz; grandchildren Cliff (Joanie) Hedlund, Randy Shramek, Crystal Shramek, James (Maren) Bruce, Lindsey (Cody) Reiher, William (Alyssa) James, Kristie (JD) Tedrow, Quincy (Emily) Bruce, Niona (Isaak) Woodruff, AnnaLee (Phil) Rouse, Berkley Bruce, Brandon Fritz and Leilani Fritz; great grandchildren Natalie, Madison, Alivia, Kaden, Aria, Grayson, Iylah, PJ, Maggie, Hayden, Parker, Paxton and Jaxon; sister Joyce Rogers; sister-in-law Dianna Ament; brother-in-law Bill Bemer; and aunt Deloris Bardwell.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Ronald, Hope, Donald, Robert and Stepdad Howard Prosser, father and mother in-law DeWayne and Niona Bemer and sibling in-laws Jim, Chuck, Hester and Richard (Butch).
