Gloria Pearl Teague, 44 of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, June 15, 2014 at Mercy Medical Center. Celebration of life services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, located at 6621 C Ave NE, Cedar Rapids, with burial to follow in Cedar Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m. Friday at the church. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements. Gloria was born February 10, 1970 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Jessie and Berneice (Crooks) Wright. She graduated from Washington High School in Cedar Rapids. She served in the United States Army. Following her military service, she attended and graduated from Ellsworth Community College and Western Illinois University. Gloria was a Teacher's Aide at Grant Wood Elementary. She married Anthony Teague on November 27, 1996 at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She accepted Christ at an early age. Gloria is survived by her husband, Anthony; children Jasmine, 20, Antonio, 17, Eboni, 15, and Jade, 7; step-son Anthony Jr. "A.J.", 24, (Tiera) Teague and their daughter Ti'Ajah, special honorary son-nephew C.J. Wright, her mother Berneice Wright of Cedar Rapids; siblings Timothy (Gail) Crooks of Detroit, Michigan, Jessie Wright of Cedar Rapids, Rochelle Wright of Kansas City, Missouri, Clifford (Tera) Wright, Benjamin (Jessica) Wright, Veronica Wright, Sabrina Levy, Ethan Adkins, Danny Joe "D.J." Sykora, Jessica Wright, Emilee (Nick) Ridgway, Trent Wright, Dorothy Fults, Corey Wright, Kendra Wright and Tanya Wright; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Jessie Wright Sr., her sister Destiny Wright and her stepdad Washington Cole. Gloria loved supporting her kids in anything they were involved in. She loved pulling pranks, shopping and family cookouts- especially her brothers ribs. She will be missed for her signature laugh, smile, zest for life and devotion to helping others.
