Gladys Ann Kolek, 95 of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Heritage Nursing and Rehab in Cedar Rapids.  Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 at Czech National Cemetery.  Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until service time at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

Gladys was born in Oxford the daughter of Charles and Anna (Kucera) Tomash.  She was united in marriage to Robert Kolek.  To this union a daughter Linda was born.   Gladys worked at Montgomery Ward for many years and at Iowa National Company.  She enjoyed time with family and friends.  She especially enjoyed golfing and dancing and traveled in her younger years.

Gladys is survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert, daughter Linda, brother Charles Tomash, and sister Elsie Hynek.
