Gertie L. Klouda, 95, a resident of Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion formerly of Cedar Rapids died Monday morning, April 10, 2006 at Mercy Medical Center following a short illness.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 12, 2006 at Brosh Chapel, Cedar Rapids with Reverend Mike Morgan, officiating.  Interment will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to services Wednesday at the chapel.

Gertie was born on October 6, 1910 in Frederick, South Dakota the daughter of William H. and Levina (Lazenby) Wiltsey.  She married William F. Klouda on January 22, 1955.  Gertie worked for Wilson & Company in Cedar Rapids.  Gertie and Bill gardened for years and enjoyed the stock car races at Hawkeye Downs.  She also crocheted for many years and enjoyed making doilies, and in the last few years she enjoyed crocheting doilies and rugs out of plastic bags.  Gertie was deeply loved and will be missed.

Survivors included her daughter Yvonne (Darrel) Pedersen of Marion; step-daughters Dixie (Marvin) Vandersee of Cedar Rapids and Bonnie (William) Feuss of Lisbon; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six step grandchildren; fifteen step great-grandchildren; and ten step great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William, a brother, a sister, and a step-grandson.
