Frederick R. Izer, 75, died March 1, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon on Thursday, March 7 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids. Burial will follow in Czech National Cemetery. Fred was born December 15, 1938, the son of Harold and Gladys Parry. Fred enjoyed the outdoors, tending to flowers and birdwatching. Fred will be greatly missed by his REM family and case worker. He is now, "One with the birds". Memorials may be directed to REM of Iowa in Fred's name.
