Florence C. Dvorak, 99 of Cedar Rapids , died Wednesday, September 08, 2010 at Northbrook Manor Care Center . Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids , located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Burial will follow in Roger's Grove Cemetery , near Ely. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids .

Florence was born April 18, 1911, southwest of Mt. Vernon , the daughter of Anton and Katherine Netolicky. She graduated from Ely High School in 1930. She married George W Dvorak on December 14, 1935, in Cedar Rapids . He died in 1976. Florence enjoyed her family, cooking, traveling, and expressed her talents in crocheting, oil painting, and stained glass.

She served on the Czech Heritage Foundation and Czech School Boards, was long-time treasurer of her WFLA Lodge #16 and served as president of the Damska Matice Skolkse.

Florence is survived by her two daughters, Diane Stinchcomb of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, and Joanne (Tom) Lautenschlager of Minot, North Dakota; three grandsons Deron (Julie) Stinchcomb of Sylva, North Carolina, Bryan (Cindy) Stinchcomb of New Braunfels, Texas and Karl (Carrie) Lautenschlager of Lincoln, Nebraska, and seven great-grandchildren; two sisters-Alma Helmer of Iowa City and Maxine Hofer of Cedar Rapids and one brother-in-law Ira Rehmel of Bogart, Georgia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, George; a daughter Elaine; her brothers William, Antone and Maxwell Netolicky; sisters Leona Kaplan and Kathryn Rehmel and a son-in-law Bill Stinchcomb.

Memorials may be directed to either the Hospice of Mercy or the National Czech & Slovak Museum and Library.
