Finlay Juan Watson, 8 days old, passed away on July 24, 2025, at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre are assisting the family at this time.

Finn was born on July 16, 2025, the son of Blaine and Abby (Smith) Watson. He will be forever remembered for his immediate grin at birth, and his deep, bright blue eyes. Finlay's name means "warrior," and he embodied this description throughout his battle with the virus that took his life. He fought hard and strong until the very end; a testament to the character and strength of this brave little boy.

Finn Is survived by his loving parents Blaine and Abby Watson, his sister Esme Watson, his grandparents Rob & Denise Smith, Kori Smith, Rhonda Watson, and Craig & Janet Watson, along with many other close family members who love him dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2025 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ely, Iowa. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday after 10 a.m. at the church . The commitment of Finn's ashes at the Rogers Grove Cemetery will take place following the service.
