Farrell "Verlee" Andrle, 92 of Ely died Tuesday, February 15 at
She attended the Iowa State Teacher's College after graduating from high school. Verlee taught in rural Toddville and then
Verlee is survived by three sons, John (Helendale, deceased) Andrle of Saint Louis, Missouri, Bob (Carol) Andrle of Ely, and Michael Andrle of Des Moines, Iowa; seven grandchildren, John Dale (Julia) Andrle, Rene' (Scott) Tedrow, Craig (Becky) Andrle, Marna (Joel) Schutte, Marci (Matt) Whitaker, Clint (Kerrin) Andrle, and Luke Andrle; and fifteen great grandchildren. She was an aunt, cousin, sister-in-law, and friend to many. She will be missed by all.
Verlee was a member of Rebekahs at Ely, Friendship Club of Ely, and Johannas at Ely Presbyterian church where she was a member. She enjoyed playing pinochle, doing china painting, and playing the piano. She was known for her home baked kolaches and cream puffs, and all around good cooking.
