Fannie Jones, 61, passed away suddenly, on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, in her home.  Homegoing Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Saturday at Brosh Chapel.

Fannie was born September 20, 1960, in Robinson Deaden, Mississippi, the daughter of Ethel Jones.  She attended R.B. Schlater School in Mississippi.  She created a life in Chicago, later moving to Cedar Rapids, where she created a foundation of her own.  Fannie worked as a cook for many years, where she came to Iowa and became a laborer. She full time mother of her two boys, the loves of her life, along with her grandchildren.

Fannie is survived by her sons Timothy Jones (Amelia Robinson) and Antonio Jones (Ariee Jones); her daughter Jeannette Wesley; her grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her siblings Charline Jones, Vergie Potts, Ethel Watkins, Flora Jones and Karl Jones all of Chicago; special friend Michael Pirtle; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her mother, her siblings Willie Jones, Frank Jones, Christine Stuckey, Ike Donald and Mac Donald, and her significant other James Moore.
