Esther Marie Gouldy, 90 of Conroe, Texas formerly of Fairfax, died Friday, August 25th in Conroe. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 31 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Belle Plaine with Rev. Jeff Borgwardt presiding. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids. The family is being cared for by Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.
Esther was born June 13, 1916 in Williamsburg the daughter of Herman and Minnie Wichman Grieder. She married George Gouldy on September 25, 1935 in Belle Plaine.
Esther is survived by her daughter Jan (Don) Wood of Conroe, Texas; a grandson Timothy (Shelly) Benish; a greatgranddaughter Melanie Benish, and a greatgrandson Jack Benish. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband George, her seven brothers Herman, John, William, George, Louis, Arnold, and Henry Grieder; four sisters Anna Kraft, Elizabeth Fry, Lillian Kenner and Minnie Kenner.
