Emma Mary Kinkead, 89, of Marion , died Saturday, December 5, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital. Memorial services will be 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids , temporarily located at 3100 F Avenue NW , with Rev. Lloyd Brockmeyer presiding. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until service time at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids . Private family inurnment will be at a later date at Shiloh Cemetery .

Emma was born August 22, 1920 in Dubuque , the daughter of James and Emma (Weisenberger) Garvey. She married Peter Kinkead on September 13, 1947 in Louisville , Kentucky .

Emma is survived by her sons, Jim (Pat) Olsen of Colorado and Donald (Nancy) Olson of South Carolina; three grandchildren, Angie Etscheidt of Cedar Rapids, Cindy (Chad) Noska of Walker, and Jessica (Andrew) Adams of South Carolina; five great grandchildren, Brandon, Jonathan, Jordan, Cole, and Brady; half-brother, Earl (Betty) Graves of Dubuque; and her daughter-in-law, Betty Olson of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Pete, in 1968; and her brother, James Garvey.
