Emil Joseph Lamparek, 89 of 5400 26 th St. Sw, died Friday, December 16, 2005 at St. Lukes Hospital of natural causes.  Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday,  December 19 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.  Burial will follow in Cedar Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, at Brosh Chapel and for an hour prior to services Monday at the chapel.
Emil is survived by his wife Evelyn; two daughters Joyce (John T.) Anderson Jr. and Judith (John H.) Lanum Jr.; six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Rose (Edward) Kilberger.
Emil was born September 15, 1916 the son of Joseph and Blanche Cech Lamparek and grew up on the farm near Swisher.  He attended Walford High School.  Emil married Evelyn Petrak on April 20, 1937 in Cedar Rapids.  He was a member of Farm Bureau, Fairfax Masonic Lodge, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Westminster Presbyterian Church.  He helped in the early organization of the Czech Museum.
He was a successful farmer, machinery salesman and a semi-truck driver.
He enjoyed his friends, family and entertaining with his accordion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the National Czech and Slovak Museum and Library.
