Elsie Alice Mishleau, 100, of Florida, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in her home.  Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW in Cedar Rapids. Burial will be held at Anderson Cemetery near Swisher. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Brosh Chapel.

Elsie was born November 24, 1917 in Iowa City, the daughter of George and Della  Dhouly. She married George Klimesh and they were later divorced. She then married Phillip Mishleau in 1972. She was a dishwasher for many years at Eli's Restaurant on the corner of 16th Ave. and J St. SW. She loved sewing and watching Lawrence Welk and "The Joy of Painting" with Bob Ross. Elsie enjoyed going on long walks and liked to go on car rides and travel.

Elsie is survived by her children Carol Shaffer, Darlene Jones, Larry (Linda) Klimes, Shirley Kurth, and Richard Klimes; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, and great great great grandchildren; and sister Betty Ann Ham.

She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip and son LaVerne Klimes.
