Elizabeth "Liz" May Osborn, 65 of Toddville, died Thursday, December 11, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 15, 2008 at Oakland Church of the Nazarene, with Pastor James Leatherwood presiding. Inurnment will follow at Dunkard Cemetery in Midway. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the church. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
Elizabeth was born July 26, 1943 in Davenport, the daughter of James John and Frances Rose Darling Green. She graduated from Washington High School. Elizabeth married Jack Osborn on November 5, 1962 in Illinois. She worked in the fileroom at Norwood Souvenir for many years until her retirement. She loved to travel, gamble, decorate for the seasons and spending time with her friends and family.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband, Jack of Toddville; Michelle Osborn of Cedar Rapids and Scott (Kim) Osborn of Center Point; two grandchildren Austin Nelson and Sammijo Osborn; her mother Frances Green of Cedar Rapids; sisters Sandy (Mark Schoneman) Siechert of Center Point and Fran Stone of Cedar Rapids and a brother John (Carla) Green of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her father James, a brother Jim Green, and a niece Sarah Stone.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established at Metco Credit Union in her name.
