Elizabeth Skala Becicka, 10 1 of Cedar Rapids , died Sunday, October 03, 2010, at
Heritage Nursing Care Center .  Services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, October 7 , with Rev. Glenn Hunt presiding. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids , located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery in Swisher.

Elizabeth was born November 23, 1908, near Shueyville, the daughter of Theodore and Mary (Stransky) Detert.  She married George Skala on June 4, 1924, he died in August of 1971 . She remarried George Becicka in October of 1972, he died in March of 1974.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter -in-law Linda Skala; grandchildren Cheryl and husband Bryan Hadley, and Scott and wife Monique Skala; and great grandchildren Sarah and Lauren Hadley, and Addison Skala .

She was preceded in death by her husbands and her sons, Marvin Skala and Robert Skala .
