Edwin "Ed" E. Silver, 70, of Marion, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 in his home. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Mt. Clark Cemetery in Central City. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids is caring for the family.

Edwin Eugene was born March 23, 1947 in Central City, the son of James and Berdena (Wood) Silver. He attended school in Central City and then went into the construction industry. He married Chris Luerkens in 1964 and later divorced. Ed later married Donna McMullen. Ed enjoyed spending time with his family, Cheryl, and his many close friends.

Ed is survived by his daughters Sheila and Vanessa; two step children Brett and Theresa Babak; grandchildren Christopher (Nicole), Kelsi (Sakhone), Holli (Brad), Abigail, Dani, and Hunter; brothers Jim, Vern (Connie), Larry (DeeDee),  Gerald (Anita), and Donnie (Ronnette) Silver; and his very special friend Cheryl Olson.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, wife Donna, and brothers Harold "Herk" and Dave Silver.
