Earl Wayne Selzer, 82 of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Mercy Medical Center.  Celebration of life gathering will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2016 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  A private family inurnment will be held at a later date in Fairfax Cemetery.

Earl was born May 29, 1934 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Charles G. and Lillian (Holets) Selzer.  He graduated from Cedar Rapids Roosevelt, Class of 1952 and later attended Coe College and the University of Iowa.  Wayne was united in marriage to Marilyn Brown on September 5, 1954 at Trinity Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids.  Wayne was a partner at Hall & Hall Engineering for over 40 years.  He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, gardening, watching the Cubs, and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 62 years Marilyn; two children Steven Selzer of Des Moines and Lynda (Al) Selinger of Barrington, Illinois; four grandchildren Alexis (Justin) Howard, Patrick (Kristen) Selinger, Allegra Selzer and Edythe Selinger; two great-grandchildren Kahlan and Bryn Howard; and a sister-in-law Dee Selzer of Alamo, Texas.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Max Selzer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Iowa Donor Network in his name.
