Dorothy Schloss, 91, of Cedar Rapids , died Sunday, July 18, 2010 at Northbrook Manor Care Center . A graveside service for family and friends will be 11 a.m., Monday, July 19, 2010 at Shiloh Cemetery in Hiawatha. A memorial service will be held at a later date at First Church of the Open Bible. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy was born March 10, 1919 in Toolsborough, the daughter of James and Josie (Shotten) Hutchinson. She graduated from Wapello High School in 1937. Dorothy married Herman G. Schloss on November 20, 1938 in Cedar Rapids .

Dorothy is survived by her son Dennis (Judy) Schloss of Los Osos, CA; granddaughters, Lydia Schloss and Caitlin Schloss; grandson, Jack Thomas Schultz; two nephews; and one niece.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman on June 24, 2009.
