Doris M. Neal, 76, of Swisher, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at St. Luke's Hospital. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, temporarily located at 3100 F Avenue NW. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Inurnment will be at a later date in Anderson Cemetery, Swisher, Iowa.
Doris was born July 1, 1932 in Marion, the daughter of Walter B. and Thelma Iris (Oliver) Strong. She married Norman Lee Neal on April 28, 1954 in Cedar Rapids.
Doris is survived by her husband, Norman; sons, Rick Neal and Steve Neal; daughter Karen McVeigh; grandchildren, Leslie Strickler, Kathy Strickler, Amber Yates, Kimberly Dant, and Duncan Yates; and her sisters, Eileen Minor and Jean Strong.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Janice Strickler; brother, George Strong; and sister, Ruthann Armstrong.
