Doris Jean Divoky, 84 of Solon, died Friday, February 9, 2018 at the Solon Nursing Care Center. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 15, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon. Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon are handling Doris' arrangements.
Doris was born July 20, 1933 in Prairieburg, the daughter of Mike and Agnes (Walker) Blahnik. She married Richard Divoky on January 11, 1955 in Walker. Doris worked at Collins Radio and worked with Richard on the farm. She worked various jobs including mail carrier and cleaned many local area homes, while establishing many life long relationships. Doris was active in the Solon American Legion Auxilary, Solon Beef Days, Red Hat Society and St. Mary's Catholic Church. She enjoyed going to dances, travelling, spending time in Arizona, and most of all being around her family.
Doris is survived by her sons; Mark (Julie) and Steve Miller, daughter-in-law Jean Brothersen, grandchildren; Josh (Michelle) Divoky, Joe Divoky (Tommy Hershberger), Jon Divoky, Candice (Adam) Salow, Danielle (Shane) Hansel; great grandchildren; Syd and Livy Divoky, Colton, Jackson and Gabrielle Hansel, Paxton and Kipton Salow; her sisters Phyllis Rausch and Mary Kruse; her brother Virgil Holub, Lary (Suzanne) Holub and Gary Holub; and her sisters-in-law Lorene (Don) Trachta and Delores Trachta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Gus Holub, her husband, son Mike, daughter and son-in-law Patti and Steve Miller, grandson Brandon James Divoky and a great-grandson Lane Richard Salow, her brother Bill Holub, and brothers-in-law Bill Rausch and Gary Kruse.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
