Donna Jean Cruse, 78 of Solon, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Services will be Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Brosh Chapel in Solon, located at 100 South Cedar Street, Solon. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Mechanicsville. Visitation will start at 9 a.m. Saturday at Brosh Chapel in Solon. Donna was born on December 27, 1933 in Tipton to Gilbert and Iva (Baker) Worby. She married Raymond Cruse on January 24, 1957 in Tipton. She served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. She loved her cats and dogs, gardening, working with her flowers and vacationing out west with her family. Donna was a member of the Polypay Association for over thirty years and the Cedar Valley Rock and Gem Society of Cedar Rapids. Donna is survived by her children Debbie (Bruce) Glaspey of Sanford, FL, Denise (John) Jensen of Tipton, Darren Cruse and fiancée Melissa Halfmann of Marion; three grandchildren: Carrie Koutek (Jonathan), April, Corey; step grandchildren: Emma and Matthew Halfmann, siblings: Fonda Brannaman, Donald (Carol) Worby, Dean Worby, Diane (Steve) Yeggy, David (Valerie) Worby and several nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, a twin daughter Doreen and a brother Darrel Worby. Memorials may be directed to Iowa City Hospice, 1025 Wade Street, Iowa City, IA 52240.
