Donald John Musser, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, June 18, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center.  A Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 20 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.

Donald was born April 16, 1915, in Lone Tree, the son of John and Mary (Fountain) Musser Sr.  He married Marcella Kuen on October 18, 1941, in Norway, Iowa.
A proud veteran of World War II, Don served three years and nine days with the 240 ^th Army Engineers, primarily in the Pacific Theater.  He worked for Link Belt-Speeder FMC for 36 years, retiring in 1982 as an inspector.

Donald is survived by his daughters Pat (John) Van Sickel of Palo, Connie Musser of Cedar Rapids, and Lisa (Randy) Wing of Rosehill, Kansas; a son Gary Musser of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren Amy (Aaron) Friedel, Chris Van Sickel, Carrie Van Sickel, Scott Musser, Cory Musser, Tina (Toby) Thurston, Bret Musser, Troy Musser and fiancée Laura White, Samantha Wing, and Ben Wing; greatgrandchildren Aidan Friedel, Marik Lyons, Noah Musser, Kiara, Grace, and Adison Musser, Tyler Thurston; and a sister Jean Stock of Lone Tree.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Marcella; three sisters; and six brothers.

A memorial fund has been established toward Macular Degeneration research.
