Dennis Womochil, 70, of The Woodlands, Texas, formerly of Walford, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2016 at Vitas Hospice House after a short battle with cancer. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is handling the arrangements.

Dennis was born on July 29, 1946 to Leonard and Bernice (Probst) Womochil. Dennis graduated from Prairie High School in 1964.

Dennis was united in marriage to Irene Zelinski on December 14, 1985.

Dennis is survived by his wife Irene, and his grandson Matt Zelinski, of The Woodlands, TX.  He is also survived by his sisters Linda Werning, LoraLea Womochil and Lola(Rick)Kruse.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Dean and his sister LuElla Koopman.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
