Dennis Van Slyke, 61 of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, September 21, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Celebration of life services will be at a later date.  Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre is assisting the family with Dennis' arrangements.

Dennis was born March 6, 1956 in Cedar Rapids, the son of George and Mary (Kohl) Van Slyke.

Dennis is survived by his one brother and seven sister; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters.
