Dennis Dean "Denny" Latham, 51, died on January 14, 2013 in his daughter's home in Viola. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18th at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Dennis was born May 15, 1961 in Oelwein, the son of Duane and Rosemary (Harkin) Latham. He married Rebecca Clothier on February 28, 1981 in Cedar Rapids. He worked as a route driver and a part-time cook. Denny enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, going mushrooming, as well as the time spent with his friends and family, especially the grandkids. Denny will be remembered for being a great dad, exceptional grandfather, loving son, brother and husband and will be greatly missed. Denny is survived by his wife Rebecca Latham of Springville; daughter Jessica (Dennis) LaKose of Viola; son Jared Latham of Springville; mother Rosemary Hartley of Springville; brothers Donald (Sandy) Latham of Oelwein, David (Rachel) Latham of Oelwein, Daniel Latham of Marion, and Douglas (Judy) Latham of Toddville; sisters Susan (Den) Denny of Springville, Sandra Lange of Stone City, Andrea (Ben) Baily of Oelwein; grandchildren Austin, Jayden, Brendan, Dawson, Rian, Carson, Alexis, Dillon, Jace and Johanna; a great-grandbaby on the way; and close friends Big Dan and Zac. Dennis is preceded in death by his father Duane, his sisters Kathie Waite and Michelle Ohl; and a nephew Jeremy Latham. Memorials may be directed to the family.
