Dennis Lee Larsen, 87, passed away Thursday, April 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Dennis was born June 7, 1938, in Reinbeck, Iowa to Guy and Iona (Braach) Larsen. He served in the US Navy from 1955-1959 as an airplane mechanic. He returned to Iowa and married his pen pal Barbara Ellen Becicka on July 16, 1960, at St John’s Catholic Church in Lisbon. Dennis retired from Longview Fiber in 2004 after 43 years.

Dennis is survived by his loving wife Barbara; their three daughters Dianne (Greg) Wolfe, Lynda (Richard) Gerjets, Kristi (Blain) King, seven grandchildren; Garrett, Paige, Mitchell, Jordan, Mackenzie, Kelsey, Caleb; great grandchildren Taryn, Kane, Ronin, Elinor, Iver.

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Darcie, his sister Geneen Heinrich, his brother Dallas and fond feline friend Fifi.

A private family inurnment will be at St John’s Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be Monday June 8, 3-5 pm at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre 2121 Bowling St SW.
