Dennis Alan Kolda, 75, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday July 7, 2018, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Butcher Block Event Center, located at 568 Boyson Road NE, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, 52402 .   Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids are caring for Dennis' arrangements.

Dennis was born December 29, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Amos and Cecilia (Baxa) Kolda. He graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School, class of 1961.  He worked at P&H and for Johnson Gas, where he later retired. Dennis enjoyed going to car shows, drag racing, watching the Hawkeyes and most all of spending time with his family and friends.

Dennis is survived by his wife Roberta "Bobbie"; his son Mark, his daughter Christine (Tim) Kreel; grandchildren Skylar Kolda, Sebastian and Madisyn Kreel.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents Amos and Cecilia Kolda and Bernice Kolda.
