Dennis (Denny) Billington, age 70, passed away peacefully in his home on April 1, 2017.   The World was made a better place June 18, 1946 when he was born in Watertown, South Dakota.   He proudly served his country as a Marine, fighting in the Vietnam War from 1968-1969.  His career was in the printing business and his passion was old world printing where he could get his hands dirty.  The majority of his career was spent at Service Press & Litho.  Outside of his family, his other passions were hunting, fishing and camping.

Family members celebrating his life are his wife, Kathy (Katie) Billington of Cedar Rapids; daughter  Laurie (Jeremy) Hugins and grand-daughter Jenny Hugins of Pueblo, Co, daughter Amy Billington of Independence, VA; his brother Wallace (Mary) Billington and sister Gene Marie (Jim) Matthews;   sister Julie (JayDee) Locke and Carol (Tim) Moes family; and many nieces and nephews.

There are countless other people who were important in his life. Being he was the strong silent type, you may not have known how much he truly cared.  Different people knew him differently, but everyone that knew him knows that most afternoons he could be found with a cold beer and good cheeseburger.  Cheers!

Military Services will be held Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 3 p.m. followed by a celebration of life gathering until 5 p.m. at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Casual attire is encouraged.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family and will be dispersed between local Veteran's Charities and Pheasants Forever.
