Delmar Dean Klein, 76 of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009 at his home after a brief illness.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, temporarily located at 3100 F Avenue NW.

Del was born July 18, 1932 in Iowa City, the son of John R. and Iona V. (Ward) Klein.  He married Constance M. Wall on July 7, 1956.  Del enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing cards, and spending time with friends and family.

Del is survived by his wife, Connie; children, Daniel (Sara) Klein of Cedar Rapids, Tracy (Linda) Klein of Central City, Moe Klein (Barb) of Central City, Laura Klein Evans of Golden, Colorado, and Heidi (Will) Lis of Marion; thirteen grandchildren, Kelly, Jeremiah, Robert, Kody, Jason, Travis, Mysti, Taylor, Alex, Julia, Blaze, Sydney, Ella; three greatgrandchildren, Tomi, Maquoi, and Dallas; his brothers, Elmer J. (Kathy) Klein, Kenneth (Betty) Klein all of Cedar Rapids, and Robert Klein of Coralville; and his father-in-law, Donald Melton of Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Randolph, infant brother George, and an infant sister Hazel.
