Deborah Green Polton, 54, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 , at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. , Thursday, April 22, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids , located at 2121 Bowling Street SW with Rev.
W. Bramwell Harnish presiding. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.

Deborah was born June 6, 1955 in Glenn Falls , New York , the daughter of Fredrick and Marilyn Schriver Donovan. She and her parents moved to Mason City , when she was three months old. Deb grew up in Mason City attending school there. She married Mike Polton on September 19, 2009 . Deb was employed by PRC and had worked at Bearing Service and Cedar Rapids Photo Copy. Deb loved riding motorcycles with her husband and had a houseboat at Ellis Harbor for many years. She loved throwing her annual 3 rd of July party. Deb was an avid dart player for years. Deb loved to dance and took dance lessons for many years and appeared in many dance recitals while growing up. Deb loved spending time with her grandchildren.

A benefit has been scheduled for Deb. The benefit and celebration of life is being held on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at the Eagles Club in Cedar Rapids from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with an all you can eat pancake breakfast.

Deb is survived by her husband Mike, a daughter Heather Green; sons Chad and Jeremy Carlson and step sons Bob Green and Josh and Zach Polton; her father Fred Donovan of Mason City, brothers Doug Donovan of Hampton and Dave Donovan and his sons Brandon and Tyler of Des Moines, mother and father in law Guy and Joyce Polton, borher and sister in laws Tim and Kim Polton, Jeff and Kathy Jeffords, Uncle Richard (Carlyn) Schriver, great aunt Arlene Higgins and numerous cousins all of Mason City, several grandchildren who she treasured, her best friend Laureen Hauptmann and her beloved dog Daisy.

She was preceded in death by her previous husband, Al Green; her mother, Marilyn Donovan; and her grandparents.

The family wishes to thank the hospice staff for their loving and tender care given to Deb during her illness and also to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House for all their care.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed in her name to the Deb Green Polton Benefit at Wells Fargo Bank.
