Deborah A. "Debbie" Largeteau, 51, of Alamogordo, New Mexico, died Friday, July 13, 2007, at her home.
Deborah was born September 8, 1955 in Cedar Rapids. As a registered nurse she served as a missionary to India and Cambodia, and was employed at Betty Dare Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Alamogordo for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Alamogordo where she sang in the choir.
Survivors include her husband Mark Largeteau of the family home in Alamogordo; a son Gregory Castleberry of Houston, Texas; two daughters, Amanda Castleberry, and Sarah Harshey and her husband D.J., all of Alamogordo; four grandchildren, Micayla Harshey, Avery Castleberry, Nicholas Harshey and Baileigh Harshey, all of Alamogordo; her mother Betty Stuefen of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters, Kelly Moritz and her husband Terry, and Stephanie Lange and her husband Terry, all of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her father Bob Stuefen; and a brother Marshall Stuefen.
A Memorial service will be conducted Monday, July 16, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Alamogordo with Dr. Bill Campbell officiating. Hamilton-O'Dell Funeral Home is in charge of services in Alamogordo.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids with the Rev. Brenda Peconge officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery in rural Covington. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of local arrangements.
