Dayton James Koss, 8 month old son of Davie Meredith and Dustin Koss, died Saturday, January 17 in his home from a sudden illness.   Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Brosh Chapel in Solon with Fr. David Wilkening presiding.  Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brosh Chapel in Solon.

Dayton was born April 23, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  Dayton loved people.  He never cried and was always happy.  He had a sparkle in his eye and always a big loving smile on his face.  Dayton played and loved to be with his family.

Survived by his parents, a sister Kirsten Wilson of Cedar Rapids; maternal grandmother Kathleen Fuller of Marion; paternal grandparents James and Linda Koss of Solon;  maternal greatgrandmother Shirley Wilson of Springfield, Missouri; paternal greatgrandmother Elizabeth Koss of Solon; aunts Lee Ann Tran, April (Jerry) Snyder, Linda (Brian) Bourgeois, Janet (Bud) Cavanah, Susan (Ron) Tremblay, Tiffany Koss, Jody (Jamie) Miller, Jamie (Matt) Smith; uncle Jim (Brenda) Koss as well as numerous loving cousins.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather David Meredith.
