David J. Shakespeare our dearest loved one passed away suddenly due to
heart attack on February 12, 2018. David J. Shakespeare was born June 20,
1935 to Ben and Irma Shakespeare also of Cedar Rapids.
David has been a proud member of Local 125 Plumber and Pipe Fitters for
over 55 years. He served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a
proud man and dedicated his life to his family, relatives and friends. He
enjoyed the casino life for many years. One of his proudest moments was
being a coach in little league softball. He enjoyed going to the casino,
watching his children and grandchildren's play athletics. He will be
sorely missed.
Surviving his wife of over 57 years, Mary G.; his children Bryan, Bruce,
Gary, Teresa and Tammy; followed by many grandchildren and
great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in
death by his parents and George Shakespeare his brother.
A Celebration of his Life will be in the Spring. Brosh Chapel and The
Avacentre are handling David's arrangements.
