David Frank Cejka, 79, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026, at St. Lukes Hospital. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time, Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Celebration of life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.

David was born on April 4, 1947, the son of Charles and Amelia (Drahos) Cejka. He worked for many years for Heck’s Transfer, Bluebird Transportation and Cargill. David was united in marriage to Christle Wicks on April 27, 2018. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards, working on cars, and spending time with friends and family.

David is survived by his wife Christle Cejka; his children John (Rose), Travis, David Jr., Dennis, Talon, and Deanna Cejka; his grandchildren; his siblings Bernard Cejka, Rita Cejka, Teresa Cejka, and Susan Molyneux; Christle’s children Rick (Lynn) Tschiggfrie, Angela (Jason) Lincoln and Jeannie McNeal; as well as his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings Albert Cejka, Arthur (Sandra)Cejka, Marth Mohler and Barbara Cejka; and sisters-in-law Mary Cejka, and Janet Cejka.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
