Daryl John Dosch, 71, of Swisher, died Monday, June 25, in his home. Private family services will be held at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, with burial in Urbana Cemetery. Daryl was born July 28, 1940, in Pine Island, Minnesota, the son of Ray and Catherine (Schutz) Dosch. He graduated from Pine Island High School in 1958. Daryl married Marlene Horwedel and they were later divorced. He worked at Rockwell Collins for over 30 years, retiring in 1997. Daryl enjoyed observing the Stock Market, going to the casino, riding motorcycles and driving cars. Daryl is survived by his sister Marlene (Howard) Rick of Walford; nieces and nephews Tom (Cory) Tri of Kewanee, Wisconsin, Tony (Karla) Tri of Cedar Falls, Teresa (Gregg) Schafer of Swisher, Tim (Jess) Tri of Cedar Rapids, Robert (Brenda) Tri of Cedar Rapids; as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents. Memorials may be directed to the family.
