Daisy Lee Hurt, 91, of Cedar Rapids, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday , May 28, 2017 surrounded by family at St. Luke's Hospital. She was proceeded in death by her mother, Ella Mae Hobson, brother, Robert Hobson, and son, Jerry Hurt. Survivors include daughters Annie Lee Mullinex, Annie Ruth Lester (Willie Frank), Ella Mae Stokes, Cynthia Vaughn (James), and Charlotte Hurt, and son, Robert Hurt (Quinn). She also has a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Daisy had a very special relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and those who knew her were blessed with the love that flowed from the love and passion that she gave. She also loved playing the guitar and singing. Daisy was most known for displaying the gift of Christian charity, not only did she spend quality time with her family, she was also a mother and provider to many.

Homegoing services will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017 at Word of Faith Church with Reverend Wendell Beets presiding.  Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until service time Monday at the Church.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in her name at Linn Area Credit Union.
