Cynthia Sue Sarchett, 59 of Cedar Rapids , died Wednesday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics from a lengthy illness. A Memorial visitation for Cindy and Michael will be Saturday, July 31 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids , located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

Cynthia was born June 5, 1951 in Cedar Rapids , the daughter of Virgil and Fredrica Frame Ullrick. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1969. Cynthia married Michael D. Sarchett on November 17, 1973 at First Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids . Cindy worked for many years for the Cedar Rapids School District as a Food Service Manager. Cindy enjoyed the time spent with friends and family, especially her grandkids.

Cindy is survived Chris (Brona) Sarchett of St. Louis, B.J. (Katie) Sarchett of Kansas City, and Carrie Sarchett of Cedar Rapids ; two grandchildren Tyler and Colin; and a brother Steve (Sue) Ullrick of Rockford, Illinois.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Michael on October 18, 2009.
