Connie Lea Stuefen, 77, of Covington, died Thursday, August 3, 2023, in her home from a sudden illness. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2023, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2023, at Brosh Chapel.  Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery, Covington.

Connie was born April 9, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Marvin and Mildred (Meeks)Burt. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School, class of 1964.  Connie was united in marriage to Marshall Stuefen on June 19, 1964.  She worked at Eagles Grocery and Randalls Food Market as a floral designer.  Connie enjoyed listening to music, traveling to music festivals, cooking, baking, and most of all spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Connie is survived by her children Allen (Raven) and Brian (Michelle); her nine grandchildren; her eighteen great-grandchildren; her brother David Dankert; her sisters-in-law Kelly (Terry) Moritz and Stephanie Lange; as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marshall, her siblings Jeff and Suzanne Dankert, sister-in-law Debbie Largeteau.
