November 17, 1945 – January 13, 2023
Connie Jo Goldsberry, 77, of Solon, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, January 20, 2023, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Celebration of Life service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Shueyville United Methodist Church, with inurnment to follow in Oakland Cemetery, Solon.
Connie was born November 17, 1945, in Anamosa, the daughter of Delbert and Lois (Lorenzen) Fisher. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Stanwood, class of 1963, and attended nursing school at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids after graduation. Connie was united in marriage to James Goldsberry, the love of her life, on April 2, 1966, and they shared many adventures together, as she loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends. Connie was active member of Shueyville United Methodist Church for many years and worked for College Community School District for 32 years before retiring.
Connie was the kindest, most caring person and anyone who knew her would attest to the impact she made in their lives and the smiles she left behind. She was loved so dearly and will be greatly missed.
Connie is survived by her husband; children Kelly Cheney and Ty Goldsberry; five grandchildren Alyssa (Jake) Stratton, Kaylee (Travis) Lenz, Andrew Cheney, Shae (Brandon) Kramer and Grant Goldsberry; four great-grandchildren Sullivan and Sawyer Lenz, and Walker and Colt Stratton; her sisters Becky (Al) Ahrens and Kathy (Jim) Schumacher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her mother-in-law and father-in-law Betty and Don Goldsberry.
Memorials may be directed to Shueyville United Methodist Church.
