Cherelle Antoinette Griffin, 38, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on April 7, 2025. A loving and devoted mother, Cherelle dedicated her life to her children. Lanaysha Griffin (20), Tiernen Griffin (18), and Josiah Griffin (13), who were truly her entire world.

Ruthie Griffin gave birth to Cherelle on October 8, 1986, Cherelle was known for her bright, beautiful smile that could light up any room. Her playful spirit and sense of humor made everyone around her laugh. She had a deep love for spending quality time with her kids, often cracking jokes and creating memories that will be cherished  forever. Loved listening to rock music and cooking, and enjoyed watching tv shows and movies.

Cherelle's heart was full of kindness. Whether it was helping her kids through tough times or simply sitting together watching TV, she always showed love through her actions and words. She was more than a mom. She was a best friend, a safe place, and a source of joy for her children.

She is survived by her three children, Lanaysha, Tiernen, and Josiah and four siblings Silas Griffin, Julius Johnson , Chante Blackman, Candace pledge

Proceeded in death by her beloved Grandmother, Margaret Lee Griffin; and her Brother, Cordaro Tance Griffin.

Cherelle will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the deep love she had for her family. Her spirit lives on in her children and in every life she touched.
