Charles Jackie Pavek, 83, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on February 5, 2025, at Harmony of Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 10, 2025, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.  Burial will be in Czech National Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted.

Charles was born on January 7, 1942, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John and Lena Pavek. He graduated from Palo High School.  He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Charles was united in marriage to Lois Woods on May 18, 1963, in Cedar Rapids. He worked at Lefebure, Johnson Gas, at Grant Wood Schools.  He enjoyed fishing, watching Vikings football and Cardinal baseball.

Charles is survived by his son Chuck Allen Pavek; and many Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Lois Pavek; his parents; his sisters Joy Baldwin, and Marie Utoff; and his brothers John Pavek and Joseph Pavek.
