Charles "Chuck" Newlon, 56 of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, September 28, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital. A celebration of Chuck's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 1115 2nd Street SW. Chuck was born September 23, 1958, the son of Billy George Newlon and Elaine Nelson. Chuck is survived by his children, brothers: Mark and Alvin Newlon and sisters: Jenny Hoff and Carrie Smith. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents: Harry and Genevieve Nelson. Chuck enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his friends and family. He lived life to the fullest and brought joy to everyone around him.
